Dr. Scott Green is a talented plastic surgeon trapped in a 21st-century media storm. Dr. Green received a traffic ticket. Because of COVID restrictions, he appeared in traffic court via Zoom after successfully completing the salient portion of his patient’s surgery. His fellow was closing. A faulty Zoom connection created a false narrative that Dr. Green was careless and cavalier. This judgment is both false and unfair.
How do we know? We spoke to Dr. Green ourselves. Every doctor needs to hear his side of the story. Why? What happened to him could happen to any of us. Listen to his story.

I write in support of Dr. Scott Green. He has worked with me successfully and has done six surgeries for me, which were all highly successful. Dr. green is the most conscientious and compassionate doctor I have ever worked with. There would never be any occasion to doubt his competence or care of his patients. The media did great harm by appearing to know how thorough and compassionate Dr. Green is. They owe him a complete apology for their assumptions. So sorry to hear that the media has missed the Mark again.
It is reasonable to be sensitive and angry about bad press. But when you got your medical license you had to be aware that you would become a public target. Some physicians have paid a big price for their conservative political actions. An example is an active conservative physician who was arrested by the FBI for her actions at the January 6th Republican Capital rally.
Obviously this issue is vastly different. But we have to be aware of the fact that we have a target on us. This plastic surgeon is learning a painful lesson.
I remember an OIG report that was very critical of DPM coding and care a few years ago. It was highly inaccurate and poorly designed. I took action against it and attacked it in various journals and in letters to Medicare Intermediary Medical directors.
I’m sure OIG was furious at me and actively looked for ways to attack my license or restrict payments to me. Sadly for them I was already retired and unlicensed. It was a significant victory for us and they were never able to use their defective study against us.
In case you want to become conservatively politically active now, I believe that the Left’s new war on us will become the No-Fly List.
Stand warned.

Sorry, little sympathy for the doctor. We get all bent out of shape when we enter a room and the patient is on their phone. It’s just a lack of respect for the court and i cannot fault the judge for refusing to go along with this. Reminds me of the joke where the guy with a black bag, white coat and stethoscope goes to the head of the line at the pearly gates and rushes through. When someone complains asking why the guy got in, St. Peter says, “Oh, that’s God; he likes to pretend he’s a doctor.” i don’t think anyone cares about how wonderful or compassionate he is when he is behaving badly in this instance.
Thank goodness that faulty zoom connection made it seem that he was in an active operating room, and made it seem like he said he was in surgery. It would be a shame if he actually did those things and someone tried to use a poor excuse to deny it.
